What Light Reveals, Shadow Defines
Shadow Matter is a project about negative space as the primary visual force. Instead of placing elements on a dark background, this work treats darkness as the material — using form, light, and contrast to carve meaning out of black.
Generation and Curation
The visual outputs were created through a custom generative pipeline trained on thousands of photographic studies of shadow — cast shadows, form shadows, architectural darkness, and shadow as psychological space.
Each piece was generated at high resolution and then subjected to a rigorous manual curation process, selecting only the frames where the algorithm produced something genuinely unexpected.
